that may still occasionally drop by to see if i've updated...sorry!

this past month has been hectic, and not nice to me

a quick rundown....

midterms to the max
2 were okay (marks still pending but i FEEL good)
1 was average
1 was...lucky if i pass thank goodness its only 10% geez what the heck just slapped me in the face and then kicked me.....

that one, biol, was "supposedly" supposed to be easy... you will have easier questions than ones in tutorial....and SINCE it was open book...i decided NOT to study much....my goodness, wrong thing to do

so now that i'm officially done midterms, maybe i'll start blogging more

tonight = kccf 35th anniversary dinner
this was one night for celebration...a lot of alums, and a lot of us still here gathered to toast to 35 years of good ol felloship here in kingston...kinda cool, with the clear theme being how BIG we've grown...i think my year alone, 07, is half the population...pretty sick

yes...one of the most overused examples when it comes to genetics..i finally get to do fly labs this year...so what do i do..i
1. breed them
2. then sort them
3. breed them again

after my first breed...my second breeding was "delayed"...and at first i was like oh crap, my flies are either sterile or gay...

thank goodness its all good now...only a couple more hundred flies to count...!!!

i hope i havent brought any back with me to the house :P

So its been more than two weeks now.
Stats class has been BORING
but as the material has gotten more boring, or wait, stayed boring, the prof decides to amuse himself a lot more during his lectures.

SO today, he decides as an introduction to probabilities, he would play this song about gambling.

THEN to top it all off, since we were also doing permutations and combinations, he wondered out loud why locks were called combination locks when clearly, the order of the numbers matter...so they should be called "PERMUTATION LOCKS"... haha ha ha...

yes during stats class today, the prof decided to crack a joke

"frequency polygons...why do they call it that! it makes it sound like someone lost a parrot!"

i think i was the only one to laugh

tonight, i cooked my first official meal
well it was a group effort..but everything that was done, i knew what was going on!!
so maybe, just maybe, i may be able to cook myself meals consisting of one/two meats, one/two veggies and rice...and LIVE!!!

not too too worried now...the hardest part is to find cheap/good groceries! thats the next thing to tackle!

go canada go... bittersweet..this tournament could be marking the end of professional hockey in north america for the next while, but its still quality hockey

1. Wallet - thank goodness i found it this morning in my jacket pocket that had been nicely hung up by one of my floormates without my knowledge

2. Microwave - ...no instant food until i get this one

3. PILLOW - frick how could i forget a pillow...and my "moh gun pei" isnt that comfortable

4. little screws that will hold shelves up...so i have no shelves right now

5. posters/room decorations - my room looks white and ugly cuz the walls are quite...well ugly...

6. DIGI CAM oh man i really hope this is at home, cuz i really thought i brought it with me
